Senior Analytical Modelling Consultant (Energy Storage)

Responsibilities

  1. Work within the Energy Storage team, reporting to the Head of Energy Storage.
  2. Deliver high-quality projects to ensure client satisfaction and excellence in deliverables.
  3. Conduct analytical work alongside broader energy storage consultancy services, including:
  1. Technical due diligence for lenders, investors, and vendors.
  2. Managing and contributing to technical reviews of projects at various stages.
  3. Overseeing energy storage construction projects from notice to proceed through commissioning.
  4. Reviewing EPC contractor designs to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  5. Providing on-site support during project commissioning.
  6. Advising on procurement, contract negotiation, and employer’s requirements.
  7. Offering insights into market mechanisms and revenue streams.
  8. Conducting feasibility studies for co-location and system sizing.
  9. Analysing operational, testing, and commissioning data.
  10. Lead proposal writing, business development, and company representation.
  11. Manage project KPIs, budgets, and teams to ensure optimal delivery.
  12. Mentor and train team members, contributing to their professional development.
  13. Develop and expand energy storage products, leveraging R&D for a competitive edge.
  14. Collaborate across business units and represent the company at industry events.
  15. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. 5 years of experience in energy storage.
  2. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
  3. Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and projects.
  4. Strong understanding of renewable energy project lifecycles, with specific expertise in energy storage.
  5. Knowledge of energy storage economics and financing mechanisms.
  6. Technical expertise in market trends, technology, warranties, and key industry players.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and adaptability.

Additional Requirements

  1. Based in London, Brighton, South Africa, or Germany.
  2. Must have the right to live and work in the respective country.
