On behalf of an oil and gas company, I am searching for a Lead Piping Engineer to join them in Leatherhead on a long-term project - 12 month renewable contract.
The role entails coordination duties and design lead recommendations with other engineering disciplines such as Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Safety, Mechanical Handling and Process. Regular duties will also include:
- Review of project documents
- Preparation and involvement in presentation of project Model Reviews at multi-discipline level
- Checking of plot plans and equipment layouts
Set up work processes and design job notes for the piping team and cross-discipline interfaces. Coordinate and provide guidance to Area Lead Piping Designers in an advisory and approval capacity. Coordinate inputs to the layout from pipe stress engineering and pipe support design as part of the overall layout development.
