The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

Responsibilities include:

  • Instruct and manage allocated staff (WFL staff and agency), coordinating daily staffing requirements in line with production plans.
  • Ensure staff are trained on Company processes and how to pack product correctly.
  • Monitor progress throughout each run.
  • Ensure each allocated production line is run efficiently, with minimal downtime/waste and in a safe manner, whilst complying with customer specifications and Company policy and procedures.
  • Ensure that product is presented in the best possible way.
  • Ensure there is sufficient packaging, product, and labels to meet the production schedule.
  • Meet production targets, time, and quality standards in relation to all product packed, and record performance and waste KPIs in the correct format.
  • Complete and sign off on traceability documentation in a timely manner, for example, start-up checks, label and packaging issued etc.
  • Ensure accurate input into the Prophet system for each job, and ensure jobs are closed during the shift, unless otherwise specified (i.e., hot seat changeover).
  • Input accurately all OEE data.
  • Be the focal point for escalation of issues. Where practical, resolve these issues; if not, use the correct escalation procedure, updating area escalation boards and discussing at daily meetings.
  • Ensure all Company procedures are adhered to in relation to start up, close down, quality management systems, customer specifications, DQ, Organics and re-packing.
  • Ensure customer specifications are implemented effectively to manage production speed, product quality, safety, and legality with a view of maximising yield and limiting waste levels.
  • Report any faults relating to machinery, factory fittings or equipment to the Team Leader or Engineer as soon as possible.
  • Actively promote best practice in relation to Hygiene, Health & Safety standards and good housekeeping and support the Company's efforts to minimise its environmental impact and adopt environmental best practice.
  • Identify areas of continuous improvement and communicate ideas to relevant staff.
  • Use tools and techniques such as 5s, root cause.
  • Undertake duties, such as cleaning or working on a line when required.
