If so, WFS have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Warehousing Team at London Heathrow. As a member of the team, you will play a crucial role in our Air Cargo Warehouse, where you will be responsible for efficiently moving loads and freight while adhering to strict security and safety regulations. Reward and Package

  • Base Salary: £34,474.69 to £45,016.35 per annum inclusive of shift allowance (with potential increase based on skills and experience)
  • Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Shift Pattern: Rotating 8-hour shifts on a 4 on 2 off basis, covering a mixture of early, days and evenings. Start times range from 06:00 to 22:00

Your main responsibilities on a day to day basis will be:

  • Load and off‑load freight from and onto vehicles with precision and efficiency
  • Place and retrieve freight in and from designated storage areas, ensuring proper organization and accessibility
  • Build cargo onto aircraft units according to airline specifications, prioritising safety and adherence to guidelines
  • Complete documentation accurately to record details and movement of freight, mail, and equipment, maintaining meticulous records.
  • Conduct necessary checks on imports and exports to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements, including security and regulatory protocols
  • Record and process cargo documents using handheld technology
  • Work as part of a team to tight deadlines

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Excellent command of the English language in both written and verbal communication to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders
  • Valid driver’s license, demonstrating the ability to operate vehicles safely and responsibly
  • Forklift experience is preferred, as it will be advantageous for handling cargo efficiently
  • Proficiency in manual handling of heavy goods, showcasing physical strength and capability to lift and move items as required
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including 8‑hour shift patterns (4 on and 2 off)
