We are looking for a talented individual to join our team at London Heathrow. This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career in Facilities as part of a global organisation. As the Assistant Facilities Manager your role will be to support the effective delivery of facilities management services across the UK portfolio, based at London Heathrow with regular travel to Gatwick and occasional Nationwide travel. The role focuses on contractor management, service delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement to ensure a high-quality, safe and efficient working environment for all. Your main responsibilities on a day to day basis will be:
- Provide day-to-day management of outsourced service partners, ensuring contractual compliance, quality of service, and effective delivery of all services.
- Support the introduction, implementation, and ongoing development of a Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system.
- Assist with the design, development, and delivery of facilities management and compliance dashboards to support performance monitoring and reporting.
- Deliver and manage minor works and small-scale projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Maintain effective communication with internal customers, responding professionally to issues, feedback, and service requests.
- Support compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, and health and safety requirements.
- Increase visibility, presence, and availability across the estate to proactively identify issues and support operational needs.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Experience working within facilities management or maintenance co-ordination.
- Knowledge of contractor management, performance monitoring and understanding of planned and reactive maintenance delivery.
- Experience of or involvement in CAFM system implementation or operation.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Good understanding of health and safety and compliance requirements within facilities management.
- IWFM and IOSH qualifications (or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
- Proactive and solution-focused approach.
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A professional and customer-focused attitude.
- To be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
