Our Landside Transport team currently operate circa 60 trucks from their Heathrow location and have a satellite operator based in Glasgow facilitating circa 15 trucks.

Salary: £37,500 including shift allowance. Shift patterns are 4 on, 4 off - nights only. Opportunity for overtime earning. Competitive benefits with career growth opportunities.

Do you have a minimum of 2 year’s experience as a dedicated and reliable HGV Driver? Have you worked in commercial driving roles and enjoy being on the road, working independently? Are you known for your hard work, commitment to teamwork and integrity? We are looking for individuals with the right attributes that want to build a career within the cargo industry who can bring valuable skills to the business.

As a Class 1 Driver at WFS, you will be responsible for transporting freight to UK wide airports and client’s locations. Your main responsibilities on a day to day basis will be:

  • Delivery and collection of Air freight to UK wide Airports
  • Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload cargo as needed
  • Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Adhere to all tachograph laws, traffic laws and regulations
  • Conduct daily walkaround checks
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) license with clean driving record (Min 2 years experience)
  • Valid DCPC
  • Valid Digital Tacho Card
  • No more than 6 points (No IN or DR accepted)
  • Airfreight experience desirable
  • Driver Cargo Operative certification (can be obtained if you do not hold initial current certification)
  • Commercial driving experience is required
  • Experience with roller bed, Fridge and curtain sider trailers is preferred
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
