We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants and LSAs to support teachers and pupils within Primary and Secondary school settings on a temporary supply basis, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment while assisting with classroom activities and student support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers with classroom preparation and daily activities
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning
- Assist students with additional learning needs where required
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Support pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes and school activities if required
- Assist with classroom organisation, displays and learning resources
- Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and health & safety procedures at all times
- Adapt quickly to different school environments and age groups
Primary School Duties May Include:
- Supporting phonics, reading and numeracy activities
- Assisting with creative and practical classroom tasks
- Providing pastoral support to younger pupils
Secondary School Duties May Include:
- Supporting students across a range of curriculum subjects
- Working alongside SEN departments or intervention teams
- Assisting students with organisation and classroom engagement
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly across different schools and year groups
- Positive, patient and proactive attitude
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities in education settings
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous Teaching Assistant experience in Primary or Secondary schools
- Experience supporting SEN students
- Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ or equivalent
- Behaviour management experience
- Knowledge of the UK school system and curriculum
