Worldwide Education, one of the UK's leading education supply agencies, is looking for caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Teaching Assistants (TA) and Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to support primary, secondary, and SEN schools across the Southampton area. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, or individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience within education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and development
  • Assist children with additional learning or behavioural needs where required
  • Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and participation in lessons
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and school staff

Requirements

  • Passion for working with children and young people
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Youth Worker, Care Worker, or in a similar support role is desirable
  • Positive, patient, and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
