We are currently seeking to recruit a dedicated and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to join our friendly and supportive nursery team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated early years professional to play a key leadership role in ensuring high-quality care and education for young children.
Hours & Salary
- Full-time: 4.5 days per week (42 hours)
- Alternative option: 4 days per week (37 hours) considered
- Working hours: 8:00am - 6:00pm (half-day shifts 8:00am - 1:00pm or 1:00pm - 6:00pm)
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Nursery Manager in the daily running of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children. You will also help lead the team, maintain high standards of practice, and support staff development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager in the overall leadership and management of the setting
- Ensure high standards of safeguarding, care, and education
- Lead and support staff in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and carers
- Assist with planning, observations, and learning assessments
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements and nursery policies
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
About You
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare and Education (essential)
- Previous experience working in an early years setting (deputy or senior practitioner experience desirable)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passionate about early childhood development
- Reliable, organised, and committed to high-quality childcare
- Good understanding of safeguarding and EYFS requirements
