We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants and LSAs to support teachers and pupils within Primary and Secondary school settings on a temporary supply basis, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment while assisting with classroom activities and student support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers with classroom preparation and daily activities
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning
  • Assist students with additional learning needs where required
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Support pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes and school activities if required
  • Assist with classroom organisation, displays and learning resources
  • Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and health & safety procedures at all times
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments and age groups

Primary School Duties May Include:

  • Supporting phonics, reading and numeracy activities
  • Assisting with creative and practical classroom tasks
  • Providing pastoral support to younger pupils

Secondary School Duties May Include:

  • Supporting students across a range of curriculum subjects
  • Working alongside SEN departments or intervention teams
  • Assisting students with organisation and classroom engagement

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly across different schools and year groups
  • Positive, patient and proactive attitude
  • Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities in education settings

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous Teaching Assistant experience in Primary or Secondary schools
  • Experience supporting SEN students
  • Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ or equivalent
  • Behaviour management experience
  • Knowledge of the UK school system and curriculum
