What the Finance Department does at Worldwide — The Finance Team supports a wide array of business units by overseeing and enhancing the financial landscape through comprehensive financial management, strategic planning, and cross-department collaboration.
What you will do
- Compilation and recording of general ledger journals, including complex payroll journals, bank transactions, accruals, and amortization of prepayments.
- Reconciliation and maintenance of payroll liability accounts, including correction of errors and mis-postings, evidencing outstanding liabilities, and reporting changes in month-end liabilities.
- Responding to queries raised by the wider finance team.
- Assisting with financial year-end audit requirements and fiscal year reporting requirements.
- Assisting with the professional development of other members of the team.
- Actively seek areas for continuous improvement of processes and reporting.
What you will bring to the role
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work within tight deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to confidentiality at all times.
Your experience
- Minimum of 5 years\’ experience of working within a finance department.
- Sound understanding of complex double-entry bookkeeping.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong command of business English, both written and verbal.
