What the Late Stage Business Development Operations Department does at Worldwide: Business Development Operations is a team of highly experienced Business Development professionals who drive significant bookings targets and support Worldwide’s strategic position in a competitive market through a culture of collaboration and innovation. This tenured team supports a strong portfolio of existing business as well as being responsible for the continued significant growth of Worldwide’s future pipeline and sponsors. The team is accountable for overall sales performance, the profitable achievement of sales goals, and for aligning sales objectives with Worldwide’s therapeutic and commercial strategies.

What The Associate Director, Proposals Does At Worldwide:

  • Oversee assignment of RFPs/RFIs and manage proposal team workload distribution.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for proposal development challenges.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver strategic, customized proposals and pricing.
  • Develop training tools to enhance team skills in writing and pricing strategy.
  • Review SME inputs to ensure pricing aligns with operational and delivery goals.
  • Maintain and update proposal and RFI content libraries for accuracy and reuse.
  • Ensure proposals align with sponsor needs, win strategy, and budget expectations.

  • Proven leadership in matrixed environments, with strong mentoring and team development skills.
  • Ability to plan, manage, and deliver complex proposal and pricing strategies.

Your Experience:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred with 5–7+ years in proposal development or clinical research.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Phase I–IV clinical trials and CRO operations.
  • Skills & Competencies: Excellent writing, Microsoft Word proficiency, and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Proven coaching, negotiation, and team-building skills with global and cultural awareness.
