Manchester-based Freight Forwarding business is looking for a new Business Development Manager to join their well-established Road Freight division to assist in expanding their UK Domestic Business in the North West of England. The focus is ideally on UK domestic, but the company also offers European Groupage, Full, Part Load Services, and Air and Sea Freight Services. Your Role & Responsibilities * Drive Customer Acquisition: Proactively source and manage new clients to build a robust portfolio. * Achieve Sales Excellence: Consistently meet and exceed sales targets to contribute to company growth. * Acquire new business by way of a consistent outdoor presence, structured & targeted appointments along with follow up and cold calls. * Strategic Contributions: Play an integral role in shaping business, sales, and market acquisition strategies. * Team Development: Help build the sales and client management team Main Duties: * Promote and grow services in the region. * Manage sales pipeline and CRM updates. * Handle customer quotations and tariff management. * Identify and secure new business opportunities. * Achieve sales targets set by management. * Ensure compliance with company policies. * Implement new business initiatives. * Stay informed on competitors and market trends. * Perform other relevant tasks as needed.
