Wanted: AI Strategy Director

What you’ll own:

• Lead the definition and evolution of Global Payments' AI strategy.
• Stay at the forefront of developments in AI, ensuring Global Payments has the most accurate and up-to-date view of developments as they emerge.
• Help us think through how AI will progress and its impact on the Fintech industry and Global Payments.
• Lead and oversee high-profile, cross-functional projects with product/commercial implications, translating strategic ideas into measurable outcomes while ensuring successful execution and stakeholder alignment.
• Own strategic market assessments and identify emerging trends, client needs, and industry shifts, transforming insights into actionable strategies that position the business for future success.
• Develop and deliver compelling recommendations and executive-level materials that influence decision-making and guide strategic priorities with senior leaders and the Board.
• Lead and influence senior stakeholder relationships across business units, product, technology, finance, sales, and external partners to drive alignment, accelerate execution, and remove barriers to delivery.
• Champion innovation by leading the evaluation of new products, partnerships, and business models, helping shape the future of payments and commerce.

What you’ll bring:

• 6-10 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, private equity, or a strategy-focused role within a financial institution.
• A strong interest in AI, and a passion for learning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated track record of leading complex strategic initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Exceptional communication, executive presentation, and storytelling skills, including experience preparing materials for C-suite leaders and Boards of Directors.
• Ideally, a deep interest in payments, financial technology, software, commerce, and emerging technology trends, with the ability to identify and capitalize on new growth opportunities.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build credibility across a complex organization.
• A highly proactive, ownership-oriented leadership style, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop junior team members across both hard skills (e.g., strategic analysis, business model development) and soft skills (e.g., stakeholder management, executive communication).
