About The Team
Be part of a strategic planning team focused on the Retail sector reporting to the Vertical Growth Lead for the Retail vertical as part of the Global Enterprise Go-to-Market function. You will work closely with a wide array of global and regional teams including Business Development, Relationship Management, Marketing, Partnerships, Product, Legal, Risk and Compliance. Together with your high‑performing team, you will help plan and develop long‑term goals and strategic objectives to continue to position Worldpay as a thought leader in Retail industries and grow the vertical globally.

What You Will Be Doing
- Support the development and delivery of a strategic Plan to Win for the Retail vertical across priority markets in our four regions: NORAM, EMEA, APAC and LATAM.
- Develop the Worldpay value proposition to win in each sub‑vertical of focus from the perspective of the customer, and work with internal stakeholders to define our right to win.
- Create materials that can be used to articulate our thought leadership to continue to position Worldpay as an influencer within the vertical for use to support sales discussions, in customer business review meetings, and through marketing channels.
- Coordinate and drive execution of strategic commercial initiatives to grow the vertical.
- Support regional Business Development and Relationship Management teams on various ad‑hoc tactical requests including participation in customer meetings, RFPs, developing target lists, informing on vertical thought leadership and trends, to educate them on how to win in target industries.
- Undertake analysis to drive the product roadmap acting as the voice of the customer for target industries.
- Support a team of strategy and marketing professionals in driving the objectives of the Retail vertical Plan to Win.
- Develop a strong internal network amongst key stakeholders including Business Development, Relationship Management, Marketing, Partnerships, Product, Legal, Risk and Compliance.
What You Bring
- 2+ years’ experience working within a Tier 1 payments organisation.
- 2+ years’ expertise within a retail business.
- Experience in a client‑facing role.
- Commercially minded.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Payments or other financial services experience desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Added Bonus If You Have
- Intermediate communication skills including speaking in panels, webinars and on stage at events, and a natural networker.
- Demonstrably self‑motivated and able to work to define priorities across a complex, global organisation, as well as close knowledge gaps quickly.
- Experience with PowerBI, Python, SQL or similar.
