We’re looking for a Senior Insider Threat & Data Protection Analyst to join our ever-evolving Cyber team to help us unleash the potential of every business.

About the team

As a Senior Insider Threat and Data Protection Analyst, you will be responsible for safeguarding our organization against internal security risks posed by employees, contractors, and partners. Additionally, you’ll be working to ensure our data protection strategy meets both compliance and technical standards. You will work with a team dedicated to identifying, assessing, and mitigating both insider and adversarial threats to protect sensitive information and maintain the integrity of Worldpay systems and data.

What you’ll own

  1. Insider Threat Analysis: Build risk models to identify patterns of user noncompliance. Identify strategies, policies, and procedures to detect, respond to, and mitigate insider threats effectively. Work with stakeholders to develop and implement risk mitigation plans.
  2. Threat Modelling: Work with technical teams like cyber threat intelligence, attack surface management, and detection engineering to understand the organization’s data risk profile and adversaries, then put in place detections and policies to prevent exfiltration.
  3. Technology Implementation: Utilize strong knowledge and hands-on experience with data loss prevention (DLP), User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies, products, and vendors to proactively identify insider threats and anomalous behaviors.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with legal, privacy, security engineering, and cyber incident response teams to ensure alignment of insider threat/data protection response processes with organizational policies and regulations.
  5. Team Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to a team of insider threat analysts in order to enhance their skills and performance.
  6. Organizational Change: Drive cultural and operational changes within the organization to foster a proactive approach to insider threat management and cybersecurity awareness.

What you bring

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cyber security or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. CISSP, CIPP, CRISC, CCITP, GCFE, ITPM, or other professional certifications and four years as an insider threat/information security/data protection team member.
  2. Typically requires four or more years of experience with:
  3. Strong understanding of insider threat concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  4. In-depth working knowledge of global legal, privacy, and regulatory requirements related to insider threat management/data protection.
  5. Experience with information security tools such as SIEM, DLP, Endpoint, UEBA, and data exfiltration detection techniques.
  6. Proficiency with security and access management concepts such as network protocols, secure design, access controls, encryption, data protection, privileged access, etc.
  7. Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, time management, communications, presentation, and organizational skills.
  8. Leadership skills including team planning, mentoring, reporting, establishing goals and objectives, standards, and setting priorities.
  9. High level verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization.
