Qualified Accountant – Net Revenue & Scheme Fees

We\’re looking for a qualified accountant to join our Segment Accounting team based in Manchester to help us unleash the potential of every business.

About the team

Our Segment Accounting team, based in Manchester, is responsible for the UK & International Worldpay entities. The team prepares, analyses, and reports the financial results of the business in a well-controlled, accurate, and timely manner. We work closely with the entire business to meet our financial commitments and performance targets. The key objectives are to deliver the numbers, help grow the business, and ensure good governance.

What you\’ll own

  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly financial results for the Merchant Solutions (Acquiring) Segment, managing over $115 million in monthly scheme fees.
  • Account for and control additional net revenue at the fee, product, and legal entity levels.
  • Exercise day-to-day financial control of payment processing scheme fees activity in the UK & Global.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for \’Acquiring Revenue Accounting.\’
  • Lead issue resolution related to revenue accounting.
  • Utilize advanced data tools for reporting and process review.
  • Participate in strategic planning and direction as a senior team member.
  • Develop and monitor financial control and SOX framework across the Revenue Segment.
  • Manage audit processes and serve as a key contact for audit activities.
  • Own and guide balance sheet reconciliations for revenue-related activities.
  • Remediate risks in processes and controls with SME support.

What you bring

  • Fully Qualified Accountant
  • 5-7 years of accounting or reporting experience in a high-volume data environment
  • Ability to manage complex datasets and spreadsheets, with experience in large volume reconciliations and data analytics
  • Experience with Snowflake, SQL, Power Query, and other data tools
  • Strong professional experience as an individual contributor
  • Expertise in data reconciliation, reporting, sales, and cost practices
  • Persistent, meticulous, and focused on specific product types
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for complex issues
  • Ability to resolve complex problems independently and suggest solutions
  • Effective communication skills for diverse audiences
  • Leadership in delivering complex projects and process improvements
