We’re looking for an Accountant Senior to join our Settlement Accounting & Operations team in Manchester and help shape the future of global commerce.
- What you’ll own
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying, designing and implementing BAU process efficiencies that enhance operational performance, control and scalability.
- Own accounting and reconciliation reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, integrity and timely delivery of key financial outputs.
- Lead projects and change initiatives from requirements gathering through testing, analysis and implementation, ensuring successful delivery and operational alignment.
- Support strategic change programmes by partnering with stakeholders to embed new processes, systems and controls, while ensuring the BAU team is fully prepared for change and transition activities.
- Perform impact assessments, process reviews and testing activities to ensure operational readiness and the successful adoption of new initiatives.
- Monitor, evaluate and recommend enhancements to existing processes, controls and reporting frameworks to improve efficiency, risk management and service delivery.
- What you’ll bring
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) with relevant experience in finance, accounting operations or reconciliations.
- Strong reconciliation experience, with the ability to investigate, resolve and communicate complex breaks and discrepancies.
- Proven track record of leading projects and delivering operational change, including process improvements, system enhancements and change initiatives.
- Experience supporting testing, implementation and transition activities within a finance or operational environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to identify opportunities to enhance processes and controls.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills,
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems and reporting tools are advantageous.
