What You’ll Own

• Drive Strategic Insights: Apply advanced analytics, statistical modelling, and business intelligence techniques to identify growth opportunities, optimize portfolio performance, and inform strategic planning in the payments industry.
• Executive‑Level Analysis: Partner with senior leadership to deliver deep‑dive performance analyses, scenario modelling, and forecasting that support strategic decision‑making and long‑term planning.
• Market & Portfolio Analytics: Analyse transactional, financial, and customer behaviour data to uncover trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities that shape business strategy.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Strategy, Finance, and Product teams to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for pricing, product development, and market positioning.
• Data Infrastructure & Workflow Optimization: Design and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows (SQL, Python, or similar) to ensure efficient data preparation, integration, and analysis for strategic initiatives.
• Visualization & Storytelling: Develop compelling dashboards and presentations that communicate complex insights clearly to senior stakeholders, enabling data‑driven decisions.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the impact of strategic initiatives, refining models and approaches based on performance metrics and evolving market conditions.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in data science with a strong emphasis on business analytics, financial modelling, and strategic decision support
• Expertise in Python and SQL, with hands‑on experience in data preparation, cleaning, integration, and advanced analytics
• Strong background in statistical modelling, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support portfolio optimisation and growth strategies
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of translating complex data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders
• Commercial mindset and strategic thinking, capable of influencing business decisions and driving measurable impact in a fast‑paced environment
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field

Desirable

• Experience working in a Snowflake platform environment
• Knowledge of PowerBI or Tableau
