We’re looking for a proven Travel & Hospitality Strategy Manager to join our ever-evolving EMEA Commercial team to help us unleash the potential of every business.
- What you’ll own
- Support the vertical lead in day-to -day activities.
- Support the development and maintenance of a Plan to Win for the Travel & Hospitality verticals across priority markets in our four regions: NORAM, EMEA, APAC and LATAM.
- Undertake activities to support the development of the Vertical Messaging Brief for the Travel & Hospitality vertical aligned to the Vertical Plan to Win.
This brief will articulate Worldpay’s right to win and key trends in the vertical and be used to inform outreach activities by Commercial and Marketing teams.
- Research and develop topics and trends in the Travel & Hospitality vertical and create materials that can be used to articulate our thought leadership and continue to position Worldpay as an influencer within the industry.
- Support the team to generate thought leadership to continue to position Worldpay as an influencer within the vertical for trade publications, speaking slot submission at tradeshows, sales discussions, and other activities associated with the vertical.
- Support the team to develop the Worldpay value proposition to win in each sub-vertical of focus from the perspective of the customer, and work with internal stakeholders to define our right to win.
- Own the delivery of certain initiatives within the vertical go-to-market plan to ensure we effectively target our marketing and partner cultivation efforts.
- Research and maintain lists of tradeshows, publications and industry associations where Worldpay could participate in the vertical and support Marketing in the evaluation of those opportunities
- Support the Marketing team in the planning and execution of vertical specific events, or events that includes vertical-specific breakout sessions, as aligned to the Regional Marketing Plan.
- Support regional Business Development and Relationship Management teams on various ad-hoc tactical requests including participation in customer meetings, RFPs, developing target lists, informing on vertical thought leadership and trends, to educate them on how to win in target industries.
- Support the Sales Development team in optimizing their prospect outreach by keeping up to date materials articulating our latest thought leadership.
- Execute certain ad-hoc requests that enable the team to provide input into the product roadmap acting as the voice of the customer for target industries.
- Work closely with the broader Vertical Growth team in identifying and driving the objectives of the Travel & Hospitality Plan to Win.
- Develop a strong internal network amongst key stakeholders including Business Development, Relationship Management, Marketing, Partnerships, Product, Legal, Risk and Compliance.
What you bring
- 2+ years’ expertise within a Travel, Mobility or a Hospitality business, preferably within a payments, marketing or customer experience function.
- You have actively contributed to strategic decision-making processes and are comfortable making choices and assessing trade-offs
- Strong writing and content development skills
- Good organisational skills
- Payments or other financial services experience desirable
- Bachelor's degree preferrable.

- Self-motivated and able to work to define priorities across a complex, global organization, as well as close knowledge gaps quickly.
- Ability to build consensus behind a vision and achieve buy-in to deliver on goals.
- Intermediate communication skills including speaking in panels, webinars and on stage at events, and a natural networker.

- Comfortable with global travel to attend internal and external events and customer meetings.
- Track record as a high EQ colleague, helping both team engagement and collaboration.

Be part of a strategic planning team focused on the Airlines, Travel & Hospitality sector, reporting to the Vertical Leader, as part of the Global Enterprise Go-to-Market function.
You will work closely with a wide array of global and regional teams including Business Development, Relationship Management, Marketing, Partnerships, Product, Legal, Risk and Compliance.
Together with your team, you will help plan, develop and execute long-term goals and strategic objectives to continue to position Worldpay as a thought leader in Airlines, Travel and Hospitality industries and grow the vertical globally.
