Are you ready to write your next chapter? Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We are looking for an experienced Solution Consultant to join our ever-evolving Optimisation Extended Care team and help us unleash the potential of every business.
As a Solution Consultant you will lead the implementation of authorisation improvement strategies across an allocated portfolio of new business clients. You will collaborate with external clients and internal stakeholders to drive solution adoption and enhance client outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Primary Focus – story telling and translating recommended solutions into actionable items, with both our internal and external stakeholders to implement the solutions and uplift our authorisation approval rates.
- You will be a key member of a global team charged with supporting new business clients in the early phases of live processing, monitoring performance against benchmarks, and providing data led insights to drive action and improve performance, helping Worldpay drive best in class authorisation rates.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, documenting and tracking recommendations and working to implement solutions to demonstrate value and support volume ramp.
- Document new and recurring problems and refer to other specialist teams where relevant for triage and solution (e.g. Technology, Product Management).
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in business management or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience within Payments.
- Broad knowledge of Worldpay products and related services; in-depth knowledge of products and services for which team(s) provide support.
- Knowledge of basic IT technologies, i.e., operating systems, network devices, software development and architecture.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors.
- Curiosity and excellent problem-solving, time management and project management skills.
- Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Deep understanding of the payments industry and authorisation pathways (e.g., gateways, platforms, acquirers, networks, issuers, etc.).
- Experience with Authorisation investigation & resolution, strong analytical skills to understand investigation approaches of team & get involved on most complex matters.
- Effective communication skills, and strong project management skills.
- Some flexibility of hours is required.
It's a bonus if you have:
- Strong existing connections within the Worldpay business (e.g., Product, Commercial or Operational) & ability to drive new cross-business collaboration.
- Knowledge and experience with differing platforms (e.g., WPG, VAP, NAP) and merchant profiles.
About the team:
Worldpay aims to ensure that consumers experience successful transactions every time they spend. To support this goal, Worldpay has established a dedicated team focused on authorisation rates. This team is a key pillar within our new structure, focusing on improving authorisation performance for new Tier 1 clients globally. The team will proactively identify the biggest issues affecting our authorisation performance (using dashboards, proactive analysis, and submissions from BDs), prioritise effort on the most important issues, then own the investigation and resolution.
