About the role
As a Financial Analyst Senior Specialist, you\’ll have your finger on the financial pulse of the entire organization and lead financial analysis, forecasting, and business partnering with Worldpay for Platform\’s high-growth international businesses that are based in the UK and Australia. Working with a diverse team, you\’ll be responsible to develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Operations:
- Develop and implement forecasting models to predict financial performance.
- Establish processes and governance structures.
- Research and compile data to forecast and prepare annual and monthly budget projections for a division or similar group of organizations.
- Track revenue and expenses on a monthly basis, comparing actual to forecasted figures and make necessary adjustments.
- Work closely with the international business to provide analysis and financial partnering support.
- Other related duties as needed.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare regular financial reports to keep leadership informed about key metrics and financial health.
- Analysis to support KPIs & OKRs for leadership.
Performance Reporting and Insights:
- Leverage advanced analytics to enhance performance reporting and support data-driven decision-making.
- Provide valuable insights into performance metrics, helping prioritize and track progress against overall targets.
Tooling and Process Efficiency:
- Assess existing tools and identify new ones to streamline processes, increase productivity, and reduce manual effort.
- Ensure tools integrate seamlessly into the overall process.
Planning Cycles:
- Coordinate efforts to align with long-range planning (LRP) and annual planning cycles.
- Ensure activities fit into the overall objectives of the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7+ years of proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and data management within the payments industry.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of accounting frameworks is preferred but not essential.
