Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain and support critical enterprise systems and platform services that underpin Global Payments' business operations.
- Lead system enhancements, software upgrades, performance tuning and platform optimisation activities.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root‑cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, architecture and security teams to deliver resilient, scalable and secure solutions.
- Act as a technical mentor and subject‑matter expert, driving engineering standards, automation and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in systems programming within large‑scale enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, middleware, automation tooling and performance tuning.
- Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex technical problems in mission‑critical systems.
- Experience supporting highly available production platforms with a focus on reliability and resilience.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Bonus qualifications: experience within payments, fintech or other highly regulated industries; knowledge of cloud platforms, DevOps practices and infrastructure automation; relevant industry certifications and experience with enterprise‑scale modernisation initiatives.
