We’re looking for Software Engineer Senior to join our ever-evolving Worldwide Payments Gateway team and help shape the future of global commerce.
What you’ll own
Working with the Development Manager and as part of the team you will be contributing with your own code to the team’s delivery while providing technical leadership, helping other team members and ensuring the team delivers following sound engineering principles of software craftmanship.
You will also strive to advance the department and wider Development community by actively contributing to department initiatives.
- Produce well structured, maintainable, reliable and fit for purpose code at an accepted level of quality.
- Refine and break down business requirements in work items the team can implement.
- Support the technical lead, liaising with Architecture and other stakeholders on technical matters.
- Proactively identify and suggest improvements and enhancements to working practices to team and departmental level.
- Demonstrate a can-do attitude and a sense of responsibility for the wider implications of software engineering.
- Demonstrate a flexible approach necessary for the role as business requirements and their relative priorities are subject to review and change.

- Proven experience and/or a genuine passion for software development
- Degree level education (in related subject of computing, math, science) or equivalent
- Knowledge/practical application of agile methodologies

- Experience of Software development on Java, Oracle and Linux technologies
