  • What you’ll own
  • Completing timely and accurate reconciliations of Global Payments accounts and statements in line with established policies and controls.
  • Preparing and posting journals, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently.
  • Producing and analysing management information (MI) reports, including aged reconciliations and outstanding items, using Excel to identify trends and exceptions.
  • Coaching, supporting, or training colleagues, helping to build capability and share best practice across teams.
  • Investigating and resolving reconciliation differences, erroneous entries, rejected payments, and transaction discrepancies.
  • Partnering closely with Collections, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and other stakeholders to resolve queries and drive successful outcomes.
  • Developing specialist knowledge to provide accurate guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders, taking ownership of queries through to resolution.
  • Managing and prioritising workloads effectively to ensure service levels and deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver team objectives and maintain high levels of operational performance.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance processes, improve controls, and deliver efficiencies through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • What you’ll bring
  • Experience in large-scale reconciliations and finance systems, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, auditing processes, and procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage, analyse, and report on large volumes of data.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including statistical analysis.
  • Internal and/or external audit experience.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads, manage multiple queries, and deliver to tight deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • It’s a bonus if you have AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or be actively working towards a professional accounting qualification.
  • Knowledge of systems such as Salesforce and Siebel.
  • Experience within the payments, acquiring, financial services, or wider finance industry.
