About the team

We’re looking for an Associate Director to lead our 'TAKE Payments' commercialisation team, helping shape and execute the commercial strategy for our Payment Acceptance products. This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, thrives in cross-functional environments, and is passionate about solving complex problems.

You will work cross-functionally with product, sales, marketing, and regional teams to accelerate adoption of our international solution landscape, identify opportunities for growth, refine product positioning, and contribute meaningfully to the business's bottom line.

The ideal candidate brings leadership experience, a positive, solutions-oriented attitude, is genuinely curious about the mechanics of our products, driven to resolve complex challenges, and is motivated by commercial success.

What you will be doing:

  • Sales Enablement: Enable the sales team to effectively sell new products in new markets by providing technical expertise and support. Develop sales collateral, training materials, and product documentation tailored to specific international markets. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate the sales team on new products, features, and market-specific considerations.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and partners in target countries. Collaborate with the Global Payments Partnership Team to identify and secure strategic partnerships for international expansion. Represent Global Payments at industry conferences, events, and meetings to promote the company's global presence.
  • International Market Analysis: Identify market trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making. Conduct thorough research and analysis of potential new markets for Global Payments' products and services. Evaluate market readiness and potential demand for Global Payments' offerings in each target country.
  • Expansion Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute strategic expansion plans for entering new countries and launching new products. Define market entry strategies, considering factors such as regulatory compliance, localization, and partnership opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, marketing, and sales, to ensure a smooth expansion process.
  • Technical Product Support: Collaborate with product development teams to identify and prioritize product features and enhancements for international expansion. Assess technical requirements and feasibility of launching Global Payments' products in new markets. Work closely with the product team to define technical roadmaps and ensure open communication channels to keep sales teams updated.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Natural Sciences, IT or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in Payments, Consulting or Banking
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Sales enablement/execute commercial strategy
  • Proficiency in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, clients and public
  • Considerable knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
  • Proficiency in problem solving and time management skills managing multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency to operate independently
