Ready to take your career global? Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our ever‑evolving CI/CD Platform Team at Global Payments and help shape the future of global commerce.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure‑as‑code best practices.
  • Design, build, and operate containerized platforms using Docker and Amazon EKS.
  • Design, build, and manage CI/CD platforms and tooling, including GitHub Enterprise Runners, CloudBees Jenkins, and Harness.
  • Administer and govern the GitHub Enterprise Cloud platform to ensure scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Host and operate enterprise GitHub runners for organization‑wide consumption by development teams.
  • Provide technical guidance, enablement, and consultation to development teams consuming the central CI/CD platform.
  • Act as a GitHub and GitHub Copilot SME, promoting best practices for AI‑assisted software development.
  • Work within an agile team, ensuring alignment with sprint and PI objectives; participate in code reviews, sprint retrospectives, and technical demos.
  • Contribute to or lead the development and execution of project plans, schedules, and documentation.
  • Deliver technical and decision‑seeking presentations to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as required to support the platform and engineering organization.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a Platform/DevOps/Cloud Engineer.
  • Hands‑on GitHub administration (Enterprise Cloud governance, configuration, and enterprise‑scale enablement) or strong Linux system administration supporting production platforms.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes (container orchestration) and Terraform.
  • Hands‑on experience managing and automating AWS infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in one or more languages: Java, Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Experience working with Helm for Kubernetes application packaging and deployment.
  • Solid Linux fundamentals, troubleshooting, and operational support skills.
  • Proven experience designing, operating, or supporting CI/CD automation and deployment pipelines.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, alerting, and logging for distributed and cloud‑native systems.
  • Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; excellent communication and presentation skills with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant certifications (Cloud, Infrastructure as Code, or Containerized Applications) is a bonus.

As a DevOps Engineer at Global Payments, you’ll join a central platform engineering team that owns and operates GitHub, CI/CD, and software delivery platforms used across the organization. Our mission is to provide secure, scalable, and reliable tooling that enables engineers to take applications from idea to production rapidly and safely. You’ll champion modern GitHub and CI/CD administration practices — including ownership of enterprise GitHub runners for high‑availability build/test/deploy workloads — and lead the adoption of GitHub Copilot and AI‑assisted development from a central platform perspective.
