Responsibilities
- Drive new business sales by selling Worldpay products to a UK merchant base with card turnover between £10m‑£50m per annum.
- Fully responsible for developing sales strategies through self‑generation and introductions, focusing on key vertical markets.
- Use consultative, solution‑selling techniques backed by Worldpay’s sales methodology to differentiate our solutions and achieve revenue targets.
- Build relationships and present to C‑Level stakeholders, navigating buyer stakeholders and closing opportunities quickly.
- Collaborate with virtual teams and internal stakeholders to develop strategies for your prospect base with a focus on resonating products and propositions.
- Be the trusted advisor, understanding customers’ businesses and needs, matching benefits effectively to deliver compelling value propositions.
- Act as an internal subject‑matter expert, helping stakeholders understand chosen sectors and building support across virtual teams.
- Drive new business through prospecting activity, both directly and through Worldpay’s partners and introducers.
- Manage the sales cycle & negotiation effectively, ensuring high customer satisfaction and value conversion.
- Maintain CRM accuracy, managing pipeline and forecasting in a timely manner.
- Build and nurture relationships with introducers to maximise opportunities in your pipeline and establish a healthy prospect base.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ proven experience selling in a payment environment, discovering needs, recommending solutions, and solving business problems.
- Comfortable selling to C‑Level executives.
- Experience in eCommerce gateway and technical sales.
- Excellent needs development, solution selling, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Recent experience with a consultative selling methodology.
- Won business in the corporate ( £10‑50m CTO) segment.
- Demonstrated experience in sector‑specific, strategy‑based sales.
