Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Ownership and management of the group's financial tracking processes, including revenue and cost forecasting, monitoring actual performance, and implementing remedial plans.
  • Tracking spend and revenue profiles for projects, and managing the monthly reporting process.
  • Liaising with Sales, Purchasing, Finance, Transformation, Risk, and Quality teams as appropriate.
  • Managing group-level risk, including tracking escalations and remedial actions.
  • Financial reporting for R&D, including tracking capitalization and other expenditures.
  • Overseeing small fertilization projects, ensuring quotes are produced, reviewed, issued, and invoiced correctly.
  • Line management and coaching of a team of Project Managers.
  • Participating as a member of the management team to address team or site issues as needed.

Who Are We Looking For

  • A strong mathematical background with proficiency in financial data management and forecasting.
  • A solid understanding of financial concepts such as profit and loss, costs, and revenue management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in managing and analyzing substantial customer contracts and financial data.
  • Proven experience using Excel for data management and interpreting detailed data breakdowns.
  • Excellent collaboration and influencing skills to work effectively with finance teams and across departments.
  • Knowledge of the rail or travel industry is a plus but not required.
