We are seeking a skilled Payroll Manager/HR Admin to lead and deliver core payroll operations whilst providing strategic HR administration support. This dual‑focus role combines hands‑on payroll processing with broader HR governance, ensuring accurate payroll delivery, regulatory compliance, and effective stakeholder service across all HR functions.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

  • Manage complete employee lifecycle in payroll systems, including onboarding/offboarding, salary adjustments, and system updates
  • Process time and attendance data, overtime calculations, and on‑call adjustments with precision
  • Administer salary sacrifice schemes, flexible benefits programmes, and contract renewals
  • Conduct compliance checks including National Minimum Wage, RTI submissions, apprenticeship levy, and annual PAYE processes
  • Coordinate pension uploads, contributions management, and employee pension portal administration
  • Perform monthly payroll validation, variance analysis, and provide comprehensive payroll reports to Finance
  • Manage BACS payment processing and year‑end statutory reporting including P11D, PSA, and ERS submissions

HR Administration

  • Maintain employment contracts, HR policies, and ensure regulatory compliance across all documentation
  • Administer MYHR system, coordinate employee mobility processes, and manage company car scheme
  • Support absence management, monitor trends, and provide remediation guidance to line managers
  • Coordinate mandatory training compliance, learning hours tracking, and supplier renewal cycles
  • Conduct HRIS data audits, support annual pay cycles, and assist with equity assessments
  • Manage immigration licensing, insurance supplier relationships, and employee engagement initiatives

Who Are We Looking For

  • Proven experience in payroll administration and HR operations with deep knowledge of payroll processes, RTI, P11D, PSA, and pension uploads
  • Strong HRIS and payroll systems expertise with excellent data accuracy and reporting capabilities
  • Knowledge of CSR, gender pay reporting, and equality, diversity & inclusion principles
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Strong analytical abilities with project management, prioritisation, and multitasking capabilities
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent preferred, with commitment to ongoing professional development
