We are currently hiring a highly skilled Account Manager to work within the UK Transport Sales team with the primary objective of owning the direct customer relationship, driving new sales opportunities, increasing customer satisfaction and delivering the internal financial targets. The Account Manager will also understand how UK Rail will be integral to multi-modal transport solutions and develop client value accordingly.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Create a strong relationship with the client where a level of trust and reputation can be built.
- Identify new business opportunities and build business cases to support their execution working closely with the Account Director.
- Drive further revenue earning opportunities through fertilisation of the account capturing and maintaining these in Salesforce as the primary pipe and sales performance tool.
- Fully understand and be the expert on the contract between the Client and Worldline and manage the operational performance for the account ensuring that all contractual requirements are met.
- Ensure all invoicing is done on time and cash is collected within contractual requirements including annual contract indexation where applicable.
- Understand and manage the P&L for the account with a particular focus on margin and revenue recognition against budget and the revenue action plan, again working with the Account Director and the Operational Business Unit Director.
- Develop and maintain your Account Plan working with the Account Director presenting your updates on a half yearly basis.
- Improve and maintain customer satisfaction (CSAT) across all Global metrics and regional business unit touch points.
- Work with the Product Managers by business-line and present and maintain quarterly client facing product strategy roadmaps on key services and new innovations.
Who Are We Looking For
Our ideal Account Manager has a detailed understanding of the UK Rail or mobility transport sector working with Train Operating Companies, Network Rail and Public Transport Authorities. The role is to be the management representative for all the services provided into the accounts on behalf of Worldline. Working closely with client stakeholders, the Account Manager will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of the account(s) and will proactively manage relationships at an operational level in the client business.
You will have experience with the sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals. We’re seeking a self-starter with strong negotiating skills, and someone with a track record of success who can encourage the same in others.
The Account Manager will be knowledgeable of the services and products provided to their clients and be capable in engaging them in discussions regarding the business value of these to the client’s stakeholders and to be able to engage other members of the Worldline teams as appropriate to develop new proposals accordingly.

- You can improve the sales performance by establishing positive relationships and gaining insight to the needs and business objectives of the client.
- You have a passion for the transport industry and possess substantial knowledge of the Rail and Mobility market enabling strategic discussions on consumer trends.
- You have the ability to work within a matrixed team working with product managers, service managers and business unit leaders to develop compelling positions to help grow the account.
- You will be self-motivated, working on client sites for a large proportion of your time understanding their challenges and developing the account strategy.
- You will have a strong understanding of financial, sales and bid management to enable you to succeed.
- You will be able to demonstrate building a strong pipeline of prospects, conversion and closing deals.
