Overview
In this role you own and drive WorldFirst’s global organic growth. You will shape the SEO, GEO, AEO and ASO roadmap and lead a distributed team of managers, agencies and freelancers to boost visibility, traffic and revenue across 30+ markets. You’ll build AI-driven and programmatic SEO capabilities, craft payments-focused SEO products, and partner with product and engineering to scale performance. This is a strategically important, high-ownership leadership role in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the global organic growth strategy across SEO, GEO, AEO, and ASO with measurable new customer and revenue impact
- Lead and scale a distributed team of SEO managers, agencies, and freelancers
- Design and deploy AI-driven and programmatic SEO systems for multilingual, multi-region markets
- Build SEO products—tools, frameworks, and content engines—for the payments/ cross-border trade industry
- Drive technical SEO excellence with engineering and product teams (Core Web Vitals, site architecture)
- Develop international SEO frameworks (hreflang, localisation, geo-targeting) for 30+ markets
- Create content strategies based on search intent, performance data, and E-E-A-T (YMYL)
- Build global authority via link acquisition and digital PR
- Partner with regional teams to optimise market experiences for search
- Own organic performance reporting and translate data into leadership insights
- Act as the search thought leader on trends in traditional and AI-generated search and app stores
Key requirements
- 8+ years of SEO experience
- 2+ years leading a team or agency roster
- Proven track record of significant organic growth at scale in B2B, SaaS, fintech, payments, or financial services
- Deep understanding of international SEO (hreflang, localisation, multi-region dynamics)
- Strong technical SEO knowledge and collaboration with engineering/product teams
- Experience building or scaling programmatic SEO, AI-powered content/workflows, or internal SEO tooling/products
- Working knowledge of GEO, AEO, and ASO or ability to build capability
- Excellent analytical and communication skills for senior stakeholders
- Strong grasp of E-E-A-T and YMYL in regulated industries
- Proactive, high-ownership mindset
- Payments/fintech experience preferred
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, or lightweight scripting for SEO tooling is a plus
