Senior Account Manager, Sports Management Department
Job Title: Senior Account Manager – Sports Management. Fixed‑term maternity cover, 6‑month FTC. Based in Chiswick Park, London.
Overview of Job
This role manages two major golf‑related accounts (ETP and The R&A) and combines day‑to‑day client account management with ownership of media rights and distribution. It requires strong experience with high‑level international clients, media rights and TV distribution knowledge, and excellent communication and relationship‑building skills across internal teams (legal, finance, sales) and external broadcast partners.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Lead day‑to‑day client account management, including reporting, business reviews, and reforecasting.
- Prepare quarterly (and monthly, where applicable) client reporting, account health checks, business reviews and reforecasting to support commercial and operational planning.
- Collaborate with Account Directors, VPs, capability centre leads, and client senior leadership to align account strategy, delivery, and growth opportunities.
- Support cross‑functional project planning and delivery of key strategic initiatives such as cloud/IP delivery, AI automation, content monetisation, GTM and media strategy, partnership frameworks, digital activations, remote operations and broadcast innovations.
- Prepare materials for strategic partnership meetings and business reviews.
- Act as primary point of contact for all media rights, distribution and broadcast‑related matters.
- Lead media rights renewal processes and rights requirements across relevant tours, championships and territories.
- Lead broadcaster negotiations to secure favourable commercial terms and distribution KPIs.
- Manage rights contracts, conduct regular rights audits and maintain engagement with sales executives for market/industry intelligence.
- Own invoice, receivables and technical agreement reporting, ensuring budgets, reconciliations and reporting timelines are met.
- Work with technical services/production/distribution teams to optimise delivery solutions, onsite broadcaster requirements and technical execution for events.
Knowledge and Experience
- Previous experience managing high‑level international client(s) and understanding client business requirements.
- Solid understanding of the global media business, key players and current movements.
- Proven experience within the media rights landscape, including rights renewal strategies, contract negotiations and rights audits.
- Knowledge of TV production, including OB and remote production workflows and technical requirements.
- Understanding of distribution methods (satellite, IP, fibre) and ability to interpret rate cards and evaluate delivery options.
- Strong knowledge of IMG’s capabilities and willingness to collaborate closely with Studios, Brand Partnerships, Digital & Data and Event Management teams.
- Knowledge of the golf industry and broader ecosystem preferred but not essential.

Working Conditions
This is a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. The role will be based at Chiswick Park, London, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate. Working hours are 9:00–17:00, Monday to Friday. Occasional travel to IMG buildings and meetings may be required. Unsocial hours may be required as dictated by business demands. The role may involve adapting to new systems and technologies.
