The IMG Digital team are looking for a Senior Account Manager to react to the needs of the business and its clients. The position will be wide-ranging and may include tasks such as leading a variety of digital content projects, writing and presenting content strategies, auditing client digital production operations or developing creative concepts as well as directly supporting our clients on a regular basis. It is possible that this person may be embedded with a client as part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Presenting ideas, campaigns and strategies to clients of all levels of digital maturity
  • Creation of digital content strategies based on solid understanding of production capabilities and platform knowledge
  • Determining and clarifying a range of strategic and operational problems via consultation (e.g. running interviews, leading workshops)
  • Analysing and interpreting research and stats to detect trends and create strategic and operational recommendations
  • Identification of revenue growth, customer acquisition and retention opportunities for IMG clients and delivery of relevant recommendations
  • Writing client facing reports and presenting key findings to senior management
  • Resource planning, project management and milestone tracking
  • Contributing to business development of new and existing clients; including responding to RFPs and competitive tender processes, proposal writing and business modelling
  • Building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders across the sports industry, identifying opportunities, developing creative solutions to complex problems, responding to competitive tenders and writing proposals
  • Understanding the latest digital trends, and reporting this back to the wider team and clients
  • Working with all other personnel to develop and achieve the company’s overall strategic goals
  • Being an ambassador for IMG, maintaining a professional approach at all times
  • Other duties that are within the scope of the role may be required

Knowledge & Experience

  • Extensive and broad digital experience
  • Professional hands‑on experience in at least two of the following areas: Digital content production, Digital innovation and technologies, Content, social media and platform strategy (design and/or implementation), Commercial content experience (for example, branded content or social media monetisation), Experience of running social media channels or websites, Performance and analytics monitoring, Content, marketing and social media (major platforms, across the full creative suite)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including strong presentation skills
  • Highly numerate with experience of using spreadsheets to understand and manipulate data
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office, in particular creating PowerPoint presentations and statistical manipulation in Excel
  • Organised, calm under pressure and an ability to meet fixed deadlines (both internal and client)
  • A commitment to continual professional development of oneself and others
  • Significant digital experience with keen insight into best practice for businesses and brands
  • Understanding of marketing: research, campaign planning, audience segmentation, profiling and content targeting
  • Experience leading parts, or all, of an organisation’s digital operations
  • Digital strategy experience (setting and delivery)
  • Experience using analytics platforms (e.g. Google, Facebook, Twitter)
  • Knowledge of Photoshop
  • Good understanding of the techniques of SEO relevant to social media platforms
  • A global perspective on content trends and audience behaviours

Skills & Abilities

  • Solid experience in digital content, social media, marketing or commercial roles
  • A keen understanding of digital technologies, social media platforms, websites, apps and content production
  • Technically savvy and passionate about the latest digital trends and developments
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent client‑facing skills or experience of working with a wide range of senior stakeholders within an organisation
  • A passion for sport and its ability to positively impact society
  • Comfortable under pressure (presenting, running workshops, giving clients feedback etc.)
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, manage budgets and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrable ability to learn new skills with a readiness to share those skills among other members of the team
  • Strong initiative with a 'can do' attitude and willingness to be flexible in approach to achieve desired outcomes
  • Enthusiasm for the opportunities presented by digital technology

Working Conditions

  • This is a permanent position
  • This role will be based at Chiswick Park, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate
  • Working hours are 9:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
  • May be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings
  • Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule
  • Adapting to use of new systems and technology where appropriate
