Live Operations Supervisor – IMG Studios
Lead the live operations team at IMG Studios, ensuring technical delivery of high-quality broadcast services for premium clients such as Formula1, UEFA, CBS and Wimbledon.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth running and high quality of service for all live operations.
- Own the live operations function, supervising MCR operators, engineers and freelance staff.
- Act as the day-to-day reference for live operations and collaborate closely with the Live Technical Operations manager.
- Liaise with Delivery Operations, commercial and engineering teams to support clients before, during and after events.
- Verify that live operations and technical facilities meet client requirements and expectations.
- Identify potential issues, propose solutions and keep all interested parties informed.
- Create incident reports and distribute them to relevant parties.
- Maintain a sufficient knowledge and skill base across the live operations team.
- Document and communicate technical and operational procedures, and any operational issues.
- Recommend operational improvements and technical strategies for the live operations department.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in a technical broadcast role, ideally engineering or live gallery/transmission operations.
- Strong technical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Supervisory experience managing people and client relationships.
- Excellent knowledge of technology and working methods in a live television environment.
- Proficiency in TV production processes and post-production workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to build commercially productive relationships with clients and service providers.
- Strong communication skills.
Working Conditions
Permanent position based at Stockley Park, Uxbridge. Daily hours 9:00–17:00, Monday to Friday, with shift patterns as part of the role. May require travel to other IMG locations, meetings, industry events and on-site work during events. Unsocial hours and weekend work may be required as dictated by business demands.
