World Wide Technology UK is looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and govern enterprise‐wide infrastructure patching initiatives. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and delivering OS, network, application, and security patching activities while minimizing business risk and ensuring compliance.
This is a contract role & inside IR35.
Contract Duration: 6 months
Contract Location: Remote, United Kingdom (Occasional travel to London)
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage routine, emergency, and zero‐day patching across infrastructure environments
- Coordinate patching activities across server, network, security, application, and cloud teams
- Define patching schedules, maintenance windows, and deployment strategies
- Assess risk, business impact, and dependencies; manage rollback and recovery plans
- Track 3rd parties and vendor advisories
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards (ISO, SOC2, PCI‐DSS)
- Monitor patch deployment progress and resolve issues or incidents
- Produce patch compliance, risk, and status reports for stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years in Infrastructure / IT Project Management
- Strong experience managing patching programs at initial stages
- Solid understanding of Windows/Linux OS, virtualized environments, and networks
- Knowledge of ITIL, Change Management, and Release Management
- Experience with patching tools (SCCM, WSUS, Ansible, Ivanti, BigFix)
- Strong stakeholder, risk, and communication management skills
Candidates will be required to go through background checks before commencing contract. Must be eligible to live and work in the specified work location. Some occasional travel may be required. Only successful candidates will be contacted.
