Education Required:

Job Summary:

The Lead System Architect is responsible for leading the architecture team in designing, developing, and implementing complex systems. This role involves providing technical leadership, mentoring team members, and ensuring that architectural solutions align with business goals and technical standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of system architects and engineers, providing guidance, support, and technical direction.
  • Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering their professional development.
  • Define and implement architecture strategies aligned with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
  • Develop and maintain architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.
  • Communicate architecture strategies, decisions, and updates to stakeholders.
  • Review and approve architectural designs to ensure quality, performance, and security standards.
  • Conduct architecture assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee architecture project execution, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Manage project risks and issues with mitigation strategies.
  • Promote innovation within the team by adopting new technologies and methodologies.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve architecture processes and practices.
  • Gather and model data for system capacity and licensing planning.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 years' progressive experience in a related field (Required)
  • Minimum of 15 years' progressive experience in a related field (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of system architecture principles
  • Deep understanding of system integration and interoperability
  • Knowledge of cloud computing and virtualization technologies
  • Proficiency in microservices architecture and containerization
  • Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Advanced cybersecurity knowledge
  • Ability to develop and communicate architectural visions
  • Align solutions with business goals
  • Oversee complex system implementations
  • Experience with system capacity forecasting

Travel Requirements:

Up to 75% travel, including domestic and international trips.
