As an Architect within WWT, focused on the VMware VCF platform, you will work on infrastructure-driven projects for Fortune 500 customers across all verticals. Primary Responsibilities

• Develop discovery, planning, design and implementation services of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) technologies.
• Serve as a pre/post sales consultant to WWT's Enterprise clients.
• Create High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD) of Private and Hybrid Cloud environments using industry best practices.
• Translate business outcomes to technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to delivery engineers throughout all project phases (Project Launch Workshops, design, migrations, deployments, cuts, lessons learned, etc.).
• Review client deliverables to identify opportunities to improve quality through training, mentoring, product offering improvements, and talent acquisition.
• Monitor environmental performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
• Conduct research on VMware products, services, protocols, and standards to stay current with data centre and networking developments.
• Assess the level of effort (LOE) required to deliver solutions and help develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
• Serve as an escalation point for troubleshooting of customer environments.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 7 years of experience designing, deploying, and implementing large Enterprise Private and Hybrid Cloud solutions, with a heavy focus on VMware.
• Current VCF 9 Certification(s) or ability to obtain VCF 9.0 Admin or Architecture certification within 90 days of employment.
• Demonstrable experience with 2+ of the following VMware Products: Aria Operations, Aria Automation, Aria Operations for Logs, Aria Lifecycle, NSX Advanced Load Balancer, vDefend, NSX, vSphere, vSAN, or VKS.
• Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), especially when presenting to an executive audience.
• Passion for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.
• Experience developing original content (PowerPoint and blog articles).
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment to produce outstanding results.
• Superior organisational, conflict resolution, and time management skills.
• Strong business and technical acumen.
• Self-motivated to maintain up-to-date knowledge of new technologies.
• VMware partner post-sales consulting experience strongly preferred.
• Able to conduct research into technical issues and products as required.
• Able to effectively prioritise tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong customer service orientation with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Related degree in computer science or electrical engineering and/or seven to ten years of equivalent technical experience.

Salary and Benefits

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $160,000.00 to $200,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
