This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growing, dynamic, friendly legal department of a fast‑paced IT systems integrator, supporting outbound licensing and sales transactions for the company’s commercial customers. Our legal team keeps pace with a rapidly growing and evolving company, providing practical advice while achieving business results.
This position will be remote, with some travel to the London office required. The role reports directly to the Associate General Counsel - Global Accounts. The successful candidate will have experience drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating complex transactional contracts and must be prepared to negotiate and drive strategic transactions and a significant volume of sales/revenue agreements.
The candidate will also support compliance with local and international laws, rules, and regulations, as applicable, and will create and train employees on company policies related to contracting. The candidate will work directly with the business, providing day‑to‑day advice for senior executives and other business members on contracting issues, resolving issues that arise in existing relationships, and handling pre‑litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
A successful candidate should be proactive, able to provide innovative solutions that balance legal and business concerns, enjoy working hard and being challenged, have strong written and oral communication skills, demonstrate sound and pragmatic judgment in ambiguous situations, and have a healthy sense of humor.
Requirements- Licensed to practice law in England and Wales
- 2+ years PQE, primarily with transactional legal experience including specific experience in technology transactions
- Substantive legal knowledge and the ability to counsel Sales and other key stakeholders in technology contracts, licensing, data privacy and security, and intellectual property
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- Corporate/Commercial legal experience supporting a variety of functions and prior in‑house experience preferred
- Attentive to details, good communicator, and an active listener
- Experience using legal technology tools such as Salesforce‑integrated CLMs and AI legal tools
- Knowledge of emerging regulations such as DORA and the UK/EU AI Act
- Able to work with, manage and ensure cost effective services from outside counsel
- Periodic travel required
- Ability to support time zones across EMEA and APAC
