Client Executive – Commercial Sales within Manufacturing Industry
The Client Executive will work with Global Enterprise customers, focusing on the manufacturing sector. The position is focused on achieving goals by selling World Wide Technology’s suite of products through multiple OEMs including Cisco, EMC, HP, NetApp, VMware and Citrix. The role manages a global virtual team, opens new contacts, expands the contact base, uncovers new opportunities and manages complex multi‑product and services deals.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with existing customers to drive gross profit opportunities through supply chain, digital, and infrastructure services.
- Expand WWT reach and drive new opportunities in the region as well as support inbound opportunities.
- Leverage WWT ATC capability with customers.
- Present WWT’s story brilliantly, differentiating services and offerings.
- Professional networking to build relationships with C‑level executives and decision‑making managers at targeted clients.
- Position solutions to potential clients.
- Effectively profile target accounts, applying rigor and excellence in qualification.
- Coordinate sales activities with an inside sales team (targeted mailings, telemarketing, order processing, marketing events, etc.).
- Build, develop and maintain client and OEM relationships.
- Engage in continuing education on evolving networking, unified communication, virtualization, storage, security, and cloud technology.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS).
- A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience
- Demonstrable track record developing sales opportunities within the manufacturing industry across infrastructure, digital or supply‑chain service solutions; or progressive experience in a related field.
- Experience developing core account plans to strategically grow customer relationships from the ground up to CXO‑level relationships.
- Demonstrable account‑management experience focused on manufacturing customers.
- Experience managing or leading a sales book of business ($5–10 M+ in revenue).
- High technical expertise.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work independently and solve customer‑facing problems.
- Track record of successful solution selling.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
Travel Requirements
Up to 25% of the time.
