World Wide Group are looking for a passionate and professional video editor to join our growing team. The position will support in the preparation, implementation and execution of communications plans, campaigns and related events and exhibitions for our client. As such, the candidate shall support production of video and images for different audiences (Corporate, general public, media, internal audience), maintenance and consolidation of video and images archive, on-line distribution processes, and finally ensuring the web streaming capacity serving coverage of main events. The position is office based, at our HO in Leeds, UK. Start date, as soon as possible.

As part of our service team, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide video editing and animation of graphics, employing AI-based editing where possible and appropriate.
  • Search for supporting video materials in video archives and external stock footage, when required.
  • Download, review, and store videos according to agreed processes.
  • Offer creative input to video editing to support new formats developments.
  • Follow the rules laid down in the Brand Centre for graphical / textual elements.
  • Provide various formats of each video, adapted to the requirements of various channels (YouTube, Instagram, exhibition, etc) as requested, as well as b-rolls for Videos for professionals, where necessary.
  • Interact with the different Offices to understand channel- and audience-specific needs for corporate productions, and interface with cameramen, script writers, and graphic designers.
  • Create or select from sound libraries sound effect.
  • Premix of audio tracks.
  • Create simple 3D elements needed for motion design production.
  • Edit and adapt external videos to be compliant with the Brand elements.
  • Provide online web streaming of WebEx or Teams events as required, adding branded graphic overlays and creating RMTP output feeding into ESA online platforms such as Vimeo or YouTube.
  • Support in the production of videos in Establishments or at special events including but not limited to pre-production logistics, set up of cameras, audio recordings, upload of raw footage on the video storage, attach the metadata following the Data management system.
  • Stay up to date with and advise the Video Coordination Officer on AI-supported editing software.

Requirements and Personal Specification:

  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite photo and video editing tools, for various formats.
  • Experience of online web streaming of WebEx (or similar) or Teams events.
  • Knowledge of working within Brand guidelines.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience using video, audio, and other multimedia elements for Video and Images Production.
  • Experience of science communication is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of latest trends and requirements for editing, creating 3D elements for motion graphics and Web Streaming.
  • Video shooting an advantage.
  • Organised and good at planning own work, able to keep overview in a busy department.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent cooperation and teamwork.
  • Fluent in English.

Fixed term contract with a possible 2 year extension.
