This role is ideal for someone who understands the distinct dynamics of mid-value fundraising, balancing scale and personalisation, building structured relationship focused donor journeys and using data insight to drive upgrades and retention. You will:

  • Shape and deliver the Special Giving (mid-value) strategy
  • Develop and implement a clear growth strategy for donors giving up to £10,000
  • Manage forecasting, income targets and KPIs
  • Build structured upgrade pathways from mass-market into mid-value
  • Establish clear qualification processes into major donor pipelines
  • Grow our Emergency Fund
  • Design a compelling mid-value proposition
  • Develop engaging campaigns
  • Ensure timely, high-quality stewardship and impact reporting
  • Embed strong cross-team processes to maximise income opportunities
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of mid-value donors
  • Personally steward a portfolio of engaged mid-value supporters
  • Deliver tailored communications, proposals and impact updates
  • Identify and convert new prospects through data insight and targeted outreach
  • Create meaningful engagement touchpoints that deepen commitment
  • Lead and develop Line manage a Philanthropy Officer
  • Develop systems and processes that enable scalable personalisation
  • Contribute to the wider Philanthropy team strategy

We’re looking for a proven mid-value fundraiser who can demonstrate:

  • Significant experience managing and growing mid-value donor portfolios (typically £1k–£10k)
  • A track record of delivering income growth and meeting ambitious targets
  • Strong experience designing donor journeys and upgrade strategies
  • Confidence using data, insight and testing to optimise performance
  • Excellent proposal and case-for-support writing skills
  • Experience collaborating across marketing, digital and communications teams
  • Line management experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Strategic thinking with strong delivery discipline
  • Experience within a large, complex charity environment is highly desirable.
