Job Purpose
As an Information Management Manager in a response, you will be leading World Vision’s Information Management systems, databases, and tools for the Response. She/he ensures that WV’s Response impact, its operational and contextual information are collected, validated, and analysed in a timely manner.
The IM manager equips WV’s executive leadership team in making timely, evidence-based decisions as well as supports multiple other departments in the tracking, monitoring, and reporting of the four humanitarian operations. The position demands regular consultation with a multitude of WV partnership and regional departments and field offices carrying out the emergency response. Strong candidates for this position can focus on user-centered systems-thinking, consuming the multitude of incoming information in a humanitarian context, macro-analyzing data, synthesizing and reflecting it in a usable format, including data visualization, for response and WV executive leadership.
The Response IM manager is responsible for thought leadership regarding information management that works in a variety of settings, including multiple countries and for a diverse range of staff. This includes continuous improvement of existing organizational systems that facilitate quantitative and qualitative data collection on Response’s impact and finance. Regular use of and interaction with existing information management systems including Responses’ MS Teams channel, the funding matrix, Impact Dashboard (Power Bi), Disaster Grants Database, Response portal/WV Relief, systems used for food assistance and cash/voucher programming, and 6UN reporting processes is also required.
