Overview World Travel Holdings is seeking a Staff Accountant who will work hybrid (both in our Wakefield, MA office and remote). The Staff Accountant will be a key contributor to the monthly close process, with a specific focus on the timely reconciliation, tracking, analyzing and reporting of the company’s marketing spend, car rental income and, Cruiseline.com revenue. As part of these processes, this person will act as the key finance liaison with the company’s brand managers and cruiseline.com management ensuring all of these programs are reported accurately in the company’s financial statements. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and monthly analyses in support of these programs and will provide ad hoc financial support and analyses to management. Responsibilities Tracking, processing, reconciling and reporting of the company’s marketing spend for all brands and all marketing vehicles, including all monthly close entries, working closely with each Brand Manager to ensure all Marketing activities are appropriately accounted for and approved Tracking, reconciling and reporting of the company’s Cruiseline.com revenue, working closely with the Cruiseline.com manager to ensure that all revenue is appropriately recognized and all monthly invoices are sent out on time Tracking, processing, reconciling and reporting of the company’s car rental program, including all monthly close entries Assisting with external audit Other projects and analysis assigned as needed Qualifications Associate\’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field 2+ years’ of work related experience Familiarity with GAAP Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP, SUMIF(S), COUNTIF(S), CONCATENATE, nesting multiple formulas, and pivot tables Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Experience with Great Plains or similar accounting program preferred Ability to work hybrid – Wakefield, MA office and remote #J-18808-Ljbffr
