Reports To: WTT Finance Director

The Finance Manager will be a "player‑manager" responsible for the daily execution of accounts payable operations while leading the broader financial reporting and budgeting cycle. This role requires a candidate who is comfortable being "in the weeds" with invoice processing and reconciliations, while possessing the analytical depth to manage entity‑level closing and strategic forecasting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • HANDS-ON ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
    • Full-Cycle Processing: Directly handle the end-to-end AP process: data entry, coding to the correct cost centers, and verifying tax compliance (e.g., GST/VAT/Sales Tax).
    • Payment Run Management: Prepare and execute weekly/fortnightly payment runs (Checks, ACH, Wires) for management approval.
    • Dispute Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for vendors; research and resolve statement discrepancies and missing invoices manually.
    • Employee Expenses: Process and audit employee expense claims and corporate credit card reconciliations.
  • FINANCIAL CLOSING & BOOKKEEPING
    • Month‑End Closing: Perform all month‑end closing activities for assigned entities, including the manual posting of journals and accruals.
    • GL Maintenance: Ensure the General Ledger is accurate and up-to-date; perform monthly bank reconciliations and AP-to-GL aging reconciliations.
    • Audit Support: Prepare audit schedules and provide primary documentation (invoices/contracts) for internal and external auditors.
  • BUDGETING & FORECASTING
    • Budget Preparation: Collaborate with department heads to build annual budgets and quarterly re‑forecasts based on actual spend.
    • Variance Analysis: Deep‑dive into monthly "Actual vs. Budget" variances, identifying specific transactions or vendors driving over‑spend.
    • Cash Flow Forecasting: Maintain a rolling cash flow forecast, utilizing AP data to predict short‑term liquidity requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical Proficiency: High‑speed, high‑accuracy data entry skills and mastery of accounting software (e.g., Xero, Zoho Expense, Approvalmax, etc). Hands‑on execution of all payments via corporate banking portals.
  • Accounting Foundation: Solid understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping and accrual‑based accounting.
  • Analytical Tools: Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPS, and Data Formatting) for financial modeling.
  • Experience: 4–7 years of hands‑on experience; must be willing to perform transactional tasks alongside managerial reporting. Open to junior professionals with 1–2 years of experience.
  • The "Right Fit": We are looking for a high‑potential individual who is not afraid to get their hands dirty with transactional work while maintaining an appetite for complex financial analysis.
  • Education: Degree in Accounting/Finance; Professional qualification (CPA/ACCA) is an advantage but not mandatory for a hands‑on focus.
