The World Safety Forum (WSF), as part of the Global Safety Summit (GSS), is seeking highly experienced British HSE and ESG professionals to join our External Assessment Review Committee. This prestigious voluntary role supports the integrity and excellence of the GSS ESG EHS Awards by conducting rigorous, independent evaluations of nomination submissions once they are presented to the Jury Advisory Committee. Committee Members play a critical role in upholding the credibility, transparency, and quality of the awards process. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Health & Safety, ESG, Sustainability, or Risk Management, combined with strong analytical judgement and a commitment to high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive, evidence‑based reviews of award nomination forms and supporting documentation to the Jury Advisory Committee.
- Evaluate submissions against established WSF quality standards, criteria, and sector benchmarks.
- Prepare clear, analytical, and objective assessment reports summarising findings, strengths, gaps, and recommendations.
- Provide constructive, impartial feedback on assessment processes and outcomes.
- Collaborate with fellow committee members to refine evaluation criteria, scoring frameworks, and review methodologies.
- Participate in scheduled virtual review meetings or calibration discussions as required.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments and review outcomes for audit and governance purposes.
- Stay informed about evolving best practices in quality assurance, safety leadership, ESG performance, and assessment procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to review processes based on experience and professional insight.
- Uphold strict confidentiality, independence, and ethical standards throughout all review activities.
