We’re now looking for a Senior Product Technologist to join the Technical Team, overseeing our Product Technologists based in Loughborough.

Our Head Office roles are hybrid based with 3 days a week working from our office in Loughborough, (or more if you wanted), and the remainder of the week from home (should you wish). There may be occasional travel to our Worksop or Sutton in Ashfield sites so please bear that in mind should you apply.

Key duties of our Senior Product Technologist:

  • Assist the Head of Technical and Compliance in ensuring the business and suppliers achieve the agreed legal, compliance, safety and quality standards for our products
  • Working with NPD and the Product Technologists to manage and complete allocated tasks required to enable a successful NPD launch
  • Request and log product specifications and relevant documents from suppliers
  • Completion of customer specific technical documents and information requests
  • Organise product sample submissions to external laboratory for appropriate testing
  • Responsible for providing and documenting specific Master data information
  • Responsible for the accurate documentation and effective record keeping of all Technical Information, including maintenance of the product database
  • Working effectively cross-functionally and providing technical support as necessary
  • Complete the review of product specifications and technical documents for live products at pre-determined intervals
  • Undertake technical visits to suppliers (as needed) to sign off 1st production and complete a quality assessment
  • Build and maintain external customer and supplier relationships with both technical and product development teams
  • Adhere to and keep abreast of retailer standards and ensure accurate completion and maintenance of information
  • Responsible for managing the product technologists
