We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Auditor to join our super clever Technical Team at Sutton in Ashfield.

The role works on site 5 days a week Monday – Friday and will see you interacting with many of our colleagues across the business mainly on the production floor but also in the offices. Once settled in your role there will be once a week travel to our Manton Wood (Worksop) site so you will need to be able to get to this location if you apply.

What will our Quality Assurance Auditor do?

  • Assist the QA Manager ensuring the business and suppliers achieve the agreed legal, compliance, safety, and quality standards for our products
  • Have an online presence during all product launches
  • Build and maintain external customer and supplier relationships with both technical and product development teams
  • Carry out internal audits to schedule and take part in Recall test and product traces
  • Maintain calibration records for all equipment on site and ensure that certification remains up to date
  • Based in the factory with an 70/30 split to ensure that operations are supported, and issues resolved in a timely manner. This includes online process checking, i.e. metal detection, check weighing label verification
  • Ensure Supplier non-conformances are raised in a timely manner and communicated to the relevant departments
  • Ensure GMP audits are completed to schedule including checking of appropriate sign off by the relevant Production Team
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the incoming raw material samples and checks and ensuring their compliance to standards
  • Lead and maintain the pest control checks on site including corrective action sign offs
  • Deputising and being the key Technical contact and lead for site when the QA Manager is not on site

Who is the right person for this Quality Assurance Auditor role?

The right person will have as many of the following skills and attributes as possible:

  • Technical and quality experience within the food sector, ideally in a factory-based environment
  • Organised, methodical, with excellent administrative and strong communication skills
  • Good relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • An understanding of the principles of GMP and Global Food Safety Initiatives (namely BRC)
  • Good mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ideally qualified in L2 Food hygiene and L2 Internal Auditing
