We sell thousands of sweets and treats and work with exclusive global brands to create exciting new products that will leave our customers on cloud nine. With over 60 years of confectionery excellence, we value creativity, collaboration, and a commitment to providing a best-in-class shopping experience to all of our customers.

We are looking for someone to join us as a permanent, full-time Retail Assistant (38.75 hours per week) – could you be who we are looking for? Please note that due to our location and lack of public transport, it is highly recommended that candidates are able to travel by car.

Shift Pattern/Working Hours: 38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus alternate Sunday mornings.

So what can you expect to be doing in this retail assistant role?

  • Working as part of a busy team, ensuring the best customer service is given to each customer
  • Welcoming customers into the store, supporting them with their shopping experience if needed
  • Providing excellent knowledge on products sold
  • Helping customers with their checkout experience
  • Involvement in regular stock replenishment
  • Making sure the store looks inviting and tidy at all times
  • Answering customer phone calls in a professional manner
  • Supporting your colleagues where necessary

What experience are we looking for? We would ideally like you to have some experience in:

  • A retail or wholesale environment
  • Cash handling / till / checkout experience
  • Having good organisational skills and a grasp of basic numeracy

For this role we would also need you to have:

  • The ability to communicate well at all levels
  • The drive and determination to succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • A friendly and approachable person who can build relationships with both customers and staff
