Supporting and managing busy teams of Warehouse Operatives to ensure the achievement of daily picking, packing and other customer fulfilment targets. Reporting directly to the Team Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the daily management of an allocated department, ensuring the delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and maintaining consistent high standards.

With strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will liaise closely with the Senior Team Leaders and other colleagues to effectively allocate resources and maximise productivity. You will also clearly communicate and monitor each operative’s daily targets to ensure all orders are picked and packed within the set timeframes.

Other key responsibilities will be:

  • Updating Dayforce and other systems to ensure records are accurate
  • Ensuring that daily order processing requirements are clearly defined and communicated, including WORB and MOMU
  • Maintaining good levels of housekeeping in working areas
  • Actively promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed
  • Supporting attendance management, including timekeeping checks and absence reporting
  • Provide daily guidance, coaching and motivation to team members.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement across the department.

The role is a key appointment within the Operations team, and to succeed you will need:

  • Experience in a range of warehouse departments and teams
  • A good understanding of Operations, Picking and Packing roles – desirable
  • A passion for customer satisfaction and delivering high quality outputs
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate, develop and engage a team.
  • High standards of accuracy with good attention to detail.
